Anything Is Possible

Arthur Boorman was a disabled veteran of the Gulf War for 15 years, and was told by his doctors that he would never be able to walk on his own, ever again.

He stumbled upon an article about Diamond Dallas Page doing Yoga and decided to give it a try -- he couldn't do traditional, higher impact exercise, so he tried DDP YOGA and sent an email to Dallas telling him his story.

Dallas was so moved by his story, he began emailing and speaking on the phone with Arthur throughout his journey - he encouraged Arthur to keep going and to believe that anything was possible. Even though doctors told him walking would never happen, Arthur was persistent. He fell many times, but kept going.

Arthur was getting stronger rapidly, and he was losing weight at an incredible rate! Because of DDP's specialized workout, he gained tremendous balance and flexibility, which gave him hope that maybe someday, he'd be able to walk again.

His story is proof, that we cannot place limits on what we are capable of doing, because we often do not know our own potential. Neither Arthur, nor Dallas knew what he would go on to accomplish, but this video speaks for itself. In less than a year, Arthur completely transformed his life. If only he had known what he was capable of, 15 years earlier.

Do not waste any time thinking you are stuck - you can take control over your life, and change it faster than you might think.

Hopefully this story can inspire you to follow your dreams - whatever they may be.

Anything is Possible!

Arthur's story is highlighted from the beginning, in the upcoming documentary, INSPIRED: The Movie. (Thanks to filmmaker Steve Yu for putting this inspirational video together!)

Death.........Beautifully Explained

A terminally sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said, “Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.”

Very quietly, the doctor said, “I don't know.”

“You don't know? You're, a Christian man, and don't know what's on the other side?”

The doctor was holding the handle of the door - on the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness.

Turning to the patient, the doctor said, “Did you notice my dog?
He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing, except that his master was here and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear”.

“I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one thing...I know my Master is there and that is enough.”

The Last Inspection

The soldier stood and faced God,
which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.

'Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?'

The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
'No, Lord, I guess I isn’t.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.

I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.

But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.

I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.

If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

'Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell.'

Challenge The Adversity......

In a Chinese modern dance competition on TV one very unique couple won one of the top prizes. The young woman,?in her 30's, was a dancer who had trained since she was a little girl. Later in life, she lost her entire left arm in an accident and fell into a state of depression.

Someone then asked her to coach a Children's dancing group. From that point on, she realized that she could not give up her love for dancing. So, she started to do some of her old routines. But, having lost her arm, she also lost her balance. It took a while before she could even make simple turns and spins without falling.

Then she heard of a man in his 20s, who had lost his leg in an accident. He had also fallen into the usual denial, depression and anger roller coaster. But, she was determined to find him and persuade him to dance with her.

He had never danced!

But, she didn't give up, and he reluctantly agreed. He said "I have nothing else to do anyway." She started to teach him dancing. The two broke up a few times because he had no concept of using muscle, how to control his body, and knew none of the basic rules about dancing.

They hired a choreographer to design routines for them.

In this competition, as you will see, they dance beautifully and they legitimately won the competition!

This is just a remarkable and heart-warming video of two young people who succeeded in the face of adversity.
